Aston came to us as a stray in Feb 2017. He was skin and bones and we were unsure if he was going to make it. He was not getting up to use the bathroom or doing much of anything. With some testing we discovered Aston is Diabetic, and now he is looking for his forever home. He is currently at a foster who is taking great care of him. He is now an amazing 7kgs.
This is a message from his current foster:
He's a sweet, chatty, gentle, very affectionate cat. The vet thinks he's about 9 years old. We're giving him insulin twice a day- he eats his meal, then we give him a treat & his shot. I don't think he even notices the needle. If we're a bit slow with the treat he comes looking for it. My 12 year old will give him insulin, so it really is no big deal. He doesn't like lots of activity and will take himself off somewhere quiet, but when everyone is sitting around, he's the ultimate lap cat, rubbing his face in yours & purring up a storm. He LOVES fuzzy blankets and will knead and suck like a kitten on it- can't decide if it's really cute or really weird!! He does great with our old dog who is calm and quiet, but the younger lab can be bit much for him. He is sometimes bossy with our cat, but they've managed just fine as long as they each have their personal space. (I woke up one day last week & he was in bed with my daughter, our cat & our lab so he's definitely adjustable :) Did I mention he loves people? He also loves to be brushed & FOOD. He's a bit of a mooch :). He stays off the table & counters & has just recently started jumping up onto the couch.
