Shrek … an independent, lively boy!

Shrek arrived at UCHS on December 28 last year, as a transfer from another facility that deemed him unadoptable…yes he did need some tender loving care and has undergone full dental work (via Trooper’s Fund); is now fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and is ready for adoption.

Shrek is an attractive brown tabby with white accents, compact shape who hides his age well. Shrek looks much younger than his nearly 10 years but is proud that he will be afforded a “special fee arrangement” to help get him re-homed.

Shrek has tons of energy; is the first to come forward to greet visitors; enjoys reserved petting and is ever ready for ‘treats’!  Downtime will find him having snoozes by the window in a warming sunbeam. Shrek will need an adult, quiet home as he would not enjoy the fussing of small children; is adverse to being picked up and hauled about. Shrek enjoys life on his own terms and might do best as an only cat. Staff say he loves to “rule the room” and is clear in his intent and usually  “owns it”. Shrek doesn’t mind being left alone with his thoughts, ideal for a home or maybe even a shop where he would have pride of place but would be equally happy when alone.

Happiness for Shrek is having his own space and freedom to move about at will; this independent boy is a definitely all feline and often has the last word when he exercises his voice as he loves to talk.

Shrek hopes this has piqued your interest; if so please call the shelter at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com for an introduction and to learn more about his fee special arrangement.
