Most of the kittens that come to the shelter are placed into foster care until they are old enough to be adopted. Our kittens live with foster families and are treated as members of that household. The foster families play a major role in the care and socializing of the kittens, so in return we ask that the kitten be kept in safety as an indoor cat and have no cosmetic surgery.
Prior to their adoption, all of our kittens have their first set of injections, are spayed or neutered, de-wormed and microchipped. The kittens will be with the foster family until they reach the minimum requirement of 12 weeks old and a weight of 2.2 lbs before their necessary spay or neuter surgery.
Around the 10-week period the kittens will be ready for adoption. We will post pictures of the kittens that are just about to be, or are, ready for adoption, so visit our adoptions page regularly. If you are looking for a specific type of kitten, email your request and we will try and help you. Due to the high demand, our kittens will be adopted to the first approved family.
If you are interested in becoming a foster family, please call the shelter or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and please be sure to include a phone number where we can contact you.
