UCHS Thrift Shop

The Upper Credit Humane Society Thrift Shop is our largest source of revenue, contributing funds to cover approximately 35% of our annual shelter operating expenses. The store is staffed entirely by volunteers and all money raised at the Thrift Shop goes to support the UCHS.

Our Thrift Shop hosts a monthly auction, featuring items displayed in the front window.

How to Bid:

1. Before auction day: Visit the Thrift Shop to view the items and place your bid in the bidding book inside the store.
2. Auction day: Live bidding begins at 3:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month. You can attend in person to continue bidding.
3. Winning: The highest bidder wins! Winners will be notified by phone.

Important Details:

• All bids must include a legible, working phone number.
• Winning items must be picked up within 10 days of the auction.
• December's auction takes place before Christmas.

All proceeds support the animals in our care!

Our Thrift Store is located at 68 Main St. N., Georgetown. Donations are accepted at the back of the building during operating hours only. Please do not leave donations when we are closed.

Items We Accept:

• Household items, china and flatware
• New or like-new clothing and jewellery
• Books and games (excluding textbooks, encyclopedias and Reader's Digests)
• Small furniture and appliances
• Electronics (excluding computer equipment and TVs over 10 years old)

Items We Cannot Accept:

• Large furniture or appliances
• Used helmets or child car seats
• Broken items or items with missing parts

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that all donations be clean and in good condition.
