Volunteering with UCHS
We appreciate your interest in volunteering with the Upper Credit Humane Society. Our volunteers play a vital role in the lives of the animals that pass through our doors and they are very valued members of our organization. We simply could not function without the help of the fantastic volunteers who generously donate their time and skills.
As a volunteer with the UCHS, you are helping to provide the extra love and support our animals need to prepare for their forever homes. At the end of the day, you’ll know that your time had an impact on the animals, and we’re sure they’ll have an impact on you, too. There's no such thing as too many hands at the shelter. From cuddling and playing with the cats and kittens, to walking the dogs, to helping maintain general cleanliness, we always appreciate the extra help.
*To work with the animals at the shelter, you must be at least 16, and you must be at least 18 to work with the dogs.*

We always welcome volunteers to join our Thrift Shop team. Volunteers are needed to work in all areas, including: sorting merchandise, pricing and sales. High school students who need to complete their 40 hours of community service are also encouraged to apply.
*We require volunteers at the thrift store to be at least 14 years of age.*

Raising money and awareness is critical to the success of UCHS. We can always use volunteers to assist when we're hosting fundraisers, rabies clinics, adoption events, or when we get to know the community at public events.
